Companion Puppy Buyer
If you are inquiring about a puppy from one of my litters, please understand that I breed first and foremost to produce the next generation of show puppies for myself. Red smooth females appear to be most popular and can be extremely difficult to come by. You may want to consider an other color or a male, they make equally good pets when neutered.
Regarding price: The Dachshund is a breed that typically lives 12-15 years; so excluding any unforeseen illness, you are buying a companion that will be around for many years to come. Because of the money I put into my dogs to ensure their good health, I am not interested in selling them for less. You will often find them cheaper in the newspaper. Quite honestly, if you are looking for a cheap puppy and do not care about health/temperament guarantees, that is where you should buy your puppy.
That being said, I occasionally have older puppies that we have been holding onto for a variety of reasons. If/when I decide to sell those puppies, it is usually at a slightly discounted price.
....just some helpful hints in your search for your dachshund companion.

received this nice message from a puppy buyer.
I feel like it was meant to be! Of all the people I could have gotten a dog, I'm so glad I got him from you. I knew right when I met you that you loved and cared for every one of your puppies and even had a hard time when I took him that day.
I know there is no way to tell if a puppy is going to a good home or not, and I knew there was no way for me to assure you that he would be taken care of and loved to the core. I'm so glad it worked out the way it did.
I certainly don't hide the fact that I love him to death! Thank you so much, Connie!!
